About

I am a journalist and researcher with over 10 years of experience in Turkey’s leading national newsrooms, including Milliyet and Posta. Since moving to the UK, I have been exploring the intersections of sports sociology, urban memory, and gender-based spatial politics.

My work focuses on how urban environments and stadiums are evolving, and what these shifts mean for community identity and safety. I recently contributed to Extrapolation Sport, writing about the "bourgeoisification" of football and its impact on female fans' access to the game.

Beyond the Newsroom: Zines & Design

In addition to investigative reporting, I am a fanzine creator and Adobe InDesign specialist. I believe in the power of self-publishing as a medium for urban storytelling. I host workshops to teach the art of zine-making, helping others document their own stories through independent print media.

Whether it’s documenting the streets through an analog lens or researching the sociopolitical landscape of a stadium, I strive to tell stories that bridge cultures and challenge perspectives.
